Motlow State will celebrate Homecoming on Saturday, Feb. 10

Motlow State Community College will welcome students, alumni, friends and supporters to the Moore County campus on Saturday, Feb. 10, for the annual Homecoming celebration.

Homecoming activities, sponsored by the Motlow Student Government Association (SGA), are centered around the men’s and women’s basketball teams hosting Walters State Community College in Nisbett Center, Copperweld Arena.  The men’s game begins at 2 p.m. and the women’s game follows at 4 p.m.

Bob Martin, Motlow State basketball’s all-time leading single season scorer, will be inducted into the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) Hall of Fame during halftime of the men’s game. TCCAA Commissioner Dr. Foster Chason will present Martin with his induction plaque.

The Motlow 2018 Homecoming Court will be presented during halftime of the women’s game. Motlow student organizations and club advisors have submitted nominations for homecoming king and queen, and the student body will vote during the week of homecoming.  Mr. and Miss Motlow representatives from the Moore County, Fayetteville, McMinnville, and Smyrna campuses will participate in the ceremony by crowning and sashing the king and queen.

Students will have the opportunity to have Homecoming pictures taken in the photo booth in the Motlow library. The Motlow SGA is offering a Homecoming Snap Chat geofilter to celebrate this year’s festivities and there will be a Homecoming hashtag #MotlowHomecoming2018.
