Motlow State annual Spring Concert features students and local musicians
The Motlow State Community College Vocal Ensemble and Community Band will perform their annual, free admission, Spring Concert on Thursday, April 25, on the Moore County campus at Eoff Hall in Powers Auditorium.
The performance is scheduled for 7 p.m. with pre-concert refreshments being served at 6 p.m. in the lobby of Eoff Hall. There is no admission charge, but donations are welcome and will help support the Motlow music department.
The Motlow Vocal Ensemble students include Anna-Martha Campbell, Elizabeth Damewood, Connie Dodson, Mary-Elizabeth Gibbons, Adam Hall, Braydon Holzinger, Joseph Key, Kylei Loh, Cyrus Medley, Jordan Morris, Allyson Popovich, Chelsea Roberts, Leah Seier, Bethanie Sharpe, Chance Simmons, Laura Smith, Alexis Stewart, Bethany Watkins, and Addison Womack.
The Motlow Community Band students include Steven Gilbert, Jacob Hart, Audrey Holder, Braydon Holzinger, Joseph Key, Samuel Key, Nicole Lester, Kylei Loh, Cyrus Medley, Jennifer Mills, MaryAnna Patton, Chelsea Roberts, David Sloan, Morgan Sroka, and Jacob Vaughn.
The Motlow faculty who will be performing with the Community Band include Guitar Instructor John Cook, Percussion Instructor Erik Leckrone, and Music and Piano Instructor Lisa Maurer. Tom Maurer and Dr. Charles Vining from Tullahoma will be performing with the Community Band as well.
“The Vocal Ensemble and Community Band students have been working really hard. I hope several from the community and Motlow will have the opportunity to attend the concert.” said Dr. David Bethea, Motlow music professor and director. “I want to thank the team at Motlow for the support we’ve received this semester. The Spring Concert is the highlight for the Vocal Ensemble and Community Band. Attending the concert is always a great way to end the semester.”
Tickets are not needed for the concert, but reservations are recommended to insure seating. Patrons without reservations will be seated after patrons with reservations. Names will be checked at the auditorium door for reservations, and seating will be “first come, first served.”
