The Bucks officially begin practice for the coming season Jan. 10, and will play their season opener Feb. 2, when they travel to Hanceville, Ala., to play Wallace State in a doubleheader scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. The following day, the Bucks travel to Birmingham to face Birmingham Southern for a noon doubleheader.

The 2018 schedule is heavy on home dates, with the first scheduled for Feb. 10 and 11 when Vincennes, Ind., comes to Lynchburg for noon doubleheaders both days. The first home conference series is March 9-10, with Cleveland State as the visitors.

Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) conference series consist of a single, nine-inning game on Friday and a pair of seven-inning games on Saturday. The Bucks will host five conference series and travel for four, with the first road trip being to Chattanooga State March 2-3.

The longest road trip of the 2018 season for the Bucks comes early, with Motlow traveling to Niceville, Fla., for three games on Feb. 16-17. Opponents for those games and start times have not yet been finalized.

Motlow has also scheduled home-and-home series with three area non-conference opponents; Martin Methodist College JV out of Pulaski, Covenant College JV from Lookout Mountain, Ga., and Calhoun Community College from Decatur, Ala.

The regular season will end with a pair of home conference series; with Walters State coming to town April 20-21 and Southwest Tennessee closing the year at the Driver Complex April 27-28. The Bucks have 53 games scheduled but are allowed to schedule 56, meaning they could add three games prior to the start of the season.
